Listar por tema "The developed article focuses on the application of computational fluid dynamics applied to the three-dimensional modeling in non-steady state of a primary settler designed for the treatment of wastewater from a typical municipality in the western region of Colombia CFD, with the aim of finding the removal efficiency of total suspended solids (TSS) and describe the hydrodynamic behavior of the unit using an Eulerian approach, applying the mixing model integrated in the ANSYS FLUENT software (Mixture Model), a simplified multiphase model with which the behavior of the granulometric phases of the domestic wastewater in the designed clarifier was described and the k-epsilon turbulence model to simulate the hydrodynamic effects generated in the flow inside the unit, taking as starting geometric element the typical configuration of a circular primary settler with deflecting flow screens."
